The E-911 Addressing Project for Boone County, West Virginia,
will follow in 15 Phase's.

Phase 1 - Mapping All Roads in the County.


Phase 2 - Addressing & Map Every Structure in The County.


Phase 3 - Build Computer Data Base For Addressing.


Phase 4 - Visit Every Structure To Give Out Address's.

                (Although every structure in the county has been visited,)
                (approximately 15,000, about 14% of them have not gotten)
                (their address as of Nov 2004.)


Phase 5 - Submit Verizon Report.


Phase 6 - Submit Post Office Report.

Phase 7 - GPS All Fire Hydrants.


Phase 8 - Get Digital Dispatcher Up & Running.


Phase 9 - Update Mapping System and Data Base.


Phase 10 - Publish Response Area Maps for EMS, Fire, Police.


Phase 11 - Hold Addressing Class's for 911, EMS, FIRE, & Police Agency's.


Phase 12 - Publish Road Map Book of Boone County.


Phase 13 - Assign ESN Numbers to Structures.


Phase 14 - Collette Information with WV State Addressing.


Phase 15 - Address & Add New Structures To System When Needed.






In May 1998 teams of workers went through out the county, taking photos of every structure, metering roads, addressing the structures, and naming roads that had no names. Where the road had a known road name, it was kept. Where the road had no name, it was given one. With over 1,350 roads in the county, this was a task in itself.
