HOW TO UNDERSTAND
THE ADDRESSING SYSTEM
Structures are addressed from the start of the road. Every 5.28
feet is a address number, one
on the left, and one on the right. This means that for every mile, there are 2,000
possible
addresses. Odd numbers are on the left, and even numbers are on the right. Lets say that
your address is 2000 Daniel Boone Pkwy. What this means is that your house is 1 mile from
Corridor G (Rt 119), and is on the right hand side of the road. If your address was 1000,
than
you are ½ mile, on the right. 500 is ¼ mile, and so on.
Below is a chart that will give you the address ranges.

You can take your address number and find how many feet it is from
the start of the road
to your front door.
Example :
Lets say your address is 125 Daniel Boone Pkwy. You can use the
following formula to
determine how many feet it is.
125 x 2 / 5.28 = 47.35 feet.
