WHY DO WE NEED ADDRESSING ?

 

We need the addressing of every structure in the county for several reasons.

  1. It will make it easier to find your home or business.
    1. It is much easier to say “I Live At 119 Boone Ave.” than to say “I live at Joe’s Creek, 2 & ½ miles up on the left, White House with Black Shutters. I have a Blue S-10 Pickup Truck in the driveway.
    2. Now lets look at the second part of the above statement for a second. 2 & ½ miles can be miss leading. Most people cannot judge distances. I have had calls before that the caller said 2 & ½ miles, and it ended up being 4 miles.
    3. How many White Houses are up Joes Creek, or any other part of the county  ? Next time you drive up and down the road, look and see how many White
      House's you see. Add darkness to this call, and it gets much more difficult to find this house.
  2. It is Federal, State, & County Law.
  3. Services like :

    3. Other Delivery Services
    4. Home Mail Delivery's
    5. Fire, Police & Ambulance
    6. And anything that needs a PHYSICAL ADDRESS to your home.
